Concrete blocks around the Monument
Concrete blocks have been laid over DPM to give the levels for the scaffolding. The DPM protects the paving stones underneath.

Removing the internal grilles over the niches
All of the internal grilles have now been carefully
removed and an internal scaffolding in the centre
of the spiral staircase has been erected.
