Above the entrance door there used to be a lamp which was removed some time ago and the hole that was left was then filled with cement.
This cement has now been removed and a piece of Portland stone has been made to fill this void.

The stone carver offers up a new carved piece of stone to one of the acanthus leaves which form the borders to the pedestal panels.
On the north elevation a damaged area of the pedestal panel is ready for a new section of lettered stone.
The carver checks the template of the missing letters to ensure everything lines up with the original
Foreman stonemason Lewis prepares a very awkwardly shaped stone which will fill a hole above the entrance door. Originally there was a lamp positioned here.
The stone indent above the entrance door is carefully lowered into place
