Black Limestone
Black like marble but textured like limestone. The Belgians call it a petite granite, because it looks like granite. It is harder than regular limestone and weathers beautifully. There are tiny little fossils in it which add a certain sense of nature. Beautiful when polished and often used for bases.
The base of the viewing platform is black limestone.
