The complex scaffolding
A SPLICED JOINT
A spliced joint is used to give added strength to a join between two scaffold tubes. There can be 1 / 2 / 3 x fittings each side of a join depending on the drawing design.
A BUTT PAD
A butt pad is used where the scaffolding touches the structure.
