NOTE: Children of 13 years or younger must be accompanied by an Adult in order to climb the Monument.
NOTE: The Monument is closed 24 - 26 December and the 1 January.
Accessibility at the Monument
The Monument is not accessible to people in wheelchairs however a live cam will be situated at the bottom of the Monument so people can enjoy the views. Learn more about the Panoramic Camera System.
How to get to the Monument
The Monument is located at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill, 61 metres from where the Great Fire of London started in 1666. There are now many coffee shops and places to eat around this world famous attraction. When traveling to the Monument;
By bus use numbers 17, 521, 21, 43, 133, 141, 48, 149 (all routes through London Bridge).
By train use London Bridge, Fenchurch Street or Tower Gateway DLR stations
By tube use Monument on the District and Circle lines or London Bridge on the Northern and Jubilee lines.
By car the nearest car parks are: Q Park (Tel 020 7248 5874) Bucklesbury House, 4 Wallbrook, London EC4N 8DQ or Thames Exchange NCP (Tel 020 7248 6089), Bell Wharf Lane off Upper Thames Street, London EC4R 3TB.

Group and Educational Visits
We welcome groups, however do ask due to limited capacity at The Monument that groups pre book so we are able to accommodate and provide the best experience possible. For more information on groups please call the Groups Booking line 020 7407 9191
Educational packs are now available for school groups linking The Monument to different aspects of the National Curriculum, including History, Geography, Science and English. These packs are aimed at Key Stage 2, or students aged 7 - 11 years old, providing pre, during and post visit activities that will help make learning fun.
